Great Place to Work Awards.  We have been nationally recognized in 2007, 2008 and 2009 by being ranked #4 on the “25 Best Small Companies to Work for in America” list.  This list ranks the top 25 small companies in America that use smart people management strategies to develop successful organizations with highly productive and satisfied workforces.  The results were tallied by the Great Place to Work® Institute and were based on an employee opinion survey.  We were also featured in an article in the July 2007 issue of HR Magazine which can be accessed online here. 

Our firm was also named to the 2008 Best Accounting Firms to Work for list by Accounting Today magazine.  This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the accounting industry, benefiting the nation's economy, its workforce and businesses.

In March 2008, our firm also received the Culture and People Award (for companies with 36+ employees) at the annual SASIE (Southern Arizona Smart Inspiring Enterprise) Awards, sponsored by the Arizona Small Business Association.  This award specifically recognizes companies that promote a positive workplace.  Also in March 2008, we were awarded the Grand Prize in the 2008 Workplace Excellence Awards (in the small company category).  This award honors top companies in the Tucson area for their employment practices and is sponsored by Tucson Newspapers, in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Tucson (SHRM-GT).

In both 2007 and 2009, we were recognized by the Wells Fargo Copper Cactus Award for Best Place to Work (31-75 employees). The Copper Cactus Awards honor the accomplishments of small businesses in Southern Arizona.  The award program's mission is to honor the most exceptional local small businesses and to encourage all businesses to foster a better working environment and more competitive workplace in Southern Arizona.  The Best Place to Work award specifically honors businesses that encourage growth, education and development for their employees through the workplace environment or employee benefits.

Arizona Company to Watch.  Heinfeld, Meech & Co., P.C. was named to the 2008 Comerica Bank Arizona Companies to Watch list.  Drawn from a pool of more than 300 nominees, this list honors 50 firms from around the state.  To qualify, companies must be privately held and be defined as "second-stage" firms (between 10 and 100 full-time employees and annual revenue or working capital between $750,000 and $10 million).  This award is sponsored by the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation.
